Pricing

Pay for conversations or outcomes.

Palera charges for the work, not the chairs: per conversation on every plan, or per outcome for programs with proven volume. Unlimited seats, every channel and full contact center software are included either way.

How Palera is priced

Two ways to pay. Neither is per seat.

Most contact center software bills per seat, so you pay for capacity whether anyone is working or not. Palera bills for what actually happens: the conversation, or the result it produces.

1Per conversation

One customer, every channel, one charge.

The standard model, on every plan.

  • A text on Monday, a call on Tuesday and a chat on Wednesday about the same issue count as one conversation, not three.
  • A conversation runs until an agreed final disposition, or 72 hours if none is reached.
  • Voicemails, answering machines and no-answers are never billed.
  • In Palera's analysis, about 80% of raw interactions become billable conversations. The rest fold into one that is already open.

2Per outcome

Pay for the result, not the activity.

Case by case, for programs with proven volume.

  • Agree on the result you need, such as a booked appointment, a payment arrangement or an enrollment.
  • Every conversation is labeled with its outcome on the record, so the result is measured, not estimated, and both sides see the same number.
  • AI agents, live agents or both can deliver it. AI agents get paid like the best agents: on what they deliver.
  • Each client has a volume requirement, and the infrastructure fee still applies.

Either way, seats are unlimited and every channel, AI agent management and full contact center software are included.

Against a per-seat contract

Pay for conversations, not chairs.

Seat licenses bill you for capacity, whether anyone uses it or not. Palera bills for what we deliver: real customer conversations. One customer, one final disposition, every channel, one charge.

Palera analysis. Seat comparisons assume a $150 monthly seat used one shift a day, about 22 days a month, at industry-average productivity: about 55 contacts per shift for support and about 75 for messaging, with 80% becoming billable conversations. Outbound assumes about 150 dials per agent per day. Comparisons cover license and conversation charges only. Carrier fees, AI add-ons and Palera's infrastructure fee above 5,000 conversations a month are excluded on both sides. Pricing above 100,000 conversations is 3.2¢ on all volume.

Infrastructure

Above 5,000 conversations a month, hosting and maintenance for your instance are a separate line on your invoice, quoted up front and sized to your data, not your seats. Every client has its own instance in Palera's secure SOC 2 Type II cloud on AWS, managed by Aligned Technology Group.

Bring your own carrier

Use Palera's carriers or connect your own: your Twilio account, your SIP trunk or your SMS provider. Either way, telephony and messaging fees are billed at the carrier's rate, with no markup from us.

One platform, one contract

All of this is in the price, including the AI layer.

Most contact centers pay for a CCaaS, then buy a second platform on top to manage, rank and govern their AI agents. With Palera you never buy that second layer. It comes with every plan, so the comparison above is the whole cost, not half of it.

No second platform licenseAI agent management, QA ranking and governance are included in the per-conversation price.
No integration projectNo connectors to build, monitor and fix between your contact center and a layer on top.
No seatsUnlimited users on every plan, so adding supervisors or QA staff costs nothing.

Questions

Are the CCaaS features an extra charge?

No. Voice, SMS, live chat, WhatsApp, social media, routing, dispositions, reporting, custom dashboards, internal forms and shift scheduling are included in the per-conversation price. There is no per-seat line. The usage and infrastructure charge is the only platform fee.

Can I use my own Twilio account or SIP provider?

Yes. Connect your own Twilio account, SIP trunk or SMS provider, or use Palera's carriers. Either way, telephony minutes, messaging segments and number rental are billed at the carrier's rate, with no markup from us. You would pay these on any platform, and keeping them separate is what lets the conversation price stay flat.

How is an outcome measured?

We agree on the outcome with you up front, and it is recorded on every conversation, so billing comes straight from the record. Outcome pricing is available case by case, for programs with proven volume, and each client has a volume requirement. The infrastructure fee still applies.

Is there an infrastructure fee?

Not on the Free tier. Above 5,000 conversations a month, hosting and maintenance for your instance are a separate line on your invoice, quoted up front and sized to your data, not your seats. Every client has its own instance in Palera's secure SOC 2 Type II cloud on AWS, managed by Aligned Technology Group.

What happens when I cross a band?

The lower rate applies automatically. You do not renegotiate, and you do not need to commit to a volume in advance to get the volume price.

Does Palera replace my CCaaS?

Only if you want it to. Palera runs as your full contact center platform, or as a layer on top of the CCaaS your client mandates, taking the AI agents, the grading and the reporting while their telephony contract stays where it is. The conversation record is the same either way.

Can Palera manage AI agents built by other vendors?

Yes. That is the point of the platform. Agents from other vendors run alongside your own and your live agents, are ranked on the same rubric, and when you change vendors the conversation record, the scores and the reporting stay with you.

How do you count a conversation that spans channels?

As one. The unit is one customer, until an agreed final disposition, or 72 hours if none is reached, however many channels and however many agents, AI or live, touch it in that time.
